Can't login to modem web page 192.168.0.1 - Microsoft ...

Can't login to modem web page 192.168..1 I changed to the new edge browser. When I try to login to my modem settings on web page 192.198..1 with the default username and default password I get incorrect username or password. I can login using IE or firefox browsers. Any help would be appreciated.

I only want to use my Linksys as a router and keep my modem as a modem, as I have a router and don't need it. I have changed the router so that it goes from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.52, with it having an ip address of 192.168.1.1.

Power on modem and wait for in to complete bootup, about 2 minutes. Power up router. Issue is the modem may only have the capability remember one MAC, which in this case is the PC. Powering off causes the modem to forget the previous MAC. Then it can recognise the router.

I can't log into my MODEM. I was able to set it up once using the default gateway IP address about a week ago. Then my kids unplugged it and something changed when plugged back in. When I try to log into my modem using the IP address it just gives me a web page saying its unable to connect.
