Internet Transfer Control in VB6 - Free Knowledge Base ...

This control is good for short pages only. Microsoft's Internet Transfer control has a bug whereby you will not always get the full contents of the page. See the WinInet section of this page for details on the work around. There is a fix out by Microsoft in the form of a service pack.

MSINET.OCX and vb.net - .NET forum - developer Fusion

Click on the [COM] tab when the dialog opens. Scroll down the list, and check "Microsoft Internet Transfer Control" The control can then be placed on a form just like in VB6. You must have VB6 installed to be licensed to use the Inet control.

Visual Basic/VB, MSINET.OCX problem in VB6 application

Just putting it in the VB6 program's folder won't help if it isn't registered, and even then you'd need a .local file to get DLL Redirection. COM activation data is required to use this OCX in a normal manner from a VB6 program. I just tested it as an isolated assembly (reg-free COM) and it works fine w/o registration that way.
